Rigby and Peller Warehouse Sale

The infamous Rigby and Peller warehouse sale begins next week on Thursday the 3rd of April until Friday the 4th.

All bras £15, briefs £5 and swimwear £15 and under. Get there REALLY early as the queues are a nightmare and all the good stuff will be gone. It's changed venue so I don't know how big it is, but in the old place they'd only let a few people in at a time.

Thursday 11am - 9pm
Friday 10am - 8pm

The new venue:
20th Century Theatre.
291 Westbourne Grove,
LONDON
W11 2QA

WTF?

Are you tired of regular bikini bottoms?

Are you fed-up with the lack of crotch accessories?

How does an alphabet mobile displayed across your area sound?

What was that? Good? Wow, then I have found the perfect pair of briefs for you...

Guess what, they are also on sale! Hmm, I wonder why? I'm sure there are enough designer slaves that would buy these at full price (£73 anyone?). Who wouldn't love to have the letters 'D' and 'Y' semi-permanently in a pale pre-tan flesh colour on each thigh.

Awesome.

If you didn't detect the heavy sarcasm, get 'em on Figleaves.

Pssst... There's even a one-piece to match!

E-bay

When you're looking for lingerie and swimwear, don't discount e-bay. There are some great sellers out there, but I would recommend buying from an e-bay shop.

I just got this past season Freya bikini set for £24.50 from e-bay shop The Body Beautiful, which sells lingerie and swimwear.

This set was £50 originally, so I got it for a good price, as it had previously been used as a sample, which explains the large discount. The set was classed as 'New: with tags', yet the items were not tagged when received. However, the bikini and bottoms appear to be in good condition, I'll just be sure to wash them first.

Just remember that when something has a huge discount, it won't necessarily be 100% perfect. Don't let this put you off though, check out some of these lingerie and swimwear e-bay shops:

Natural Figures
Whatagirlwants
Undercover Lingerie

I also ordered in this Tankini from Next. The stores in my area did not stock swimwear above a D, but styles do go up to an F-cup. You can order them from the Next directory in store, and if you pick them up in store, delivery is free.

(By the way, I do realise it is a little early to be discussing swim wear, but I'm going to Egypt next month so I've been shopping around for bikinis... Bragging, moi?!)

The cups are moulded and shape enhancing apparently, not that us F-cups really need much more enhancing. Anyhoo, I thought the top and shorts would be pretty comfy and supportive enough for snorkeling and skin diving along the Red Sea reefs (What? I'm not bragging again!).

The tankini comes in black and jade and is available in sizes 32/38 A/F

Tankini - £18 (£16 if D-cup and under, pssssht)
Shorts - £10

Figleaves Sale

Figleaves' up to 50% off Easter (any excuse!) sale started today, so go find yourself a bargain.

Debenhams is also on sale right now, offering up to 50% off most of the store.

Also, I've just snapped up a couple of bikinis at Tu in Sainsbury's, which currently has 25% off all clothing and accessories. They only go up to an E-cup from a 34 back, but I found I could fit in some of the tops fitted by dress size, something I do not usually like to do. However, if you have time and can sew, it isn't too difficult to buy something in a large cup and take in the back band if needed.

M & S

Here's the bra from M&S I was talking about a couple of posts ago.

It's strange, because the image above is listed as the padded bra, but it looks like the non-padded one I have and the image of the bra below on the big breasted model looks padded, not non-padded like the listing!

Odd... It looks much nicer in the fist picture... they are the same colour too, but the lighting makes them look different.

Both padded and non-padded
bras are £16
Thong - £6
Shorts - £8
The padded 30/40 A/DD

Disappointed

I said I'd update you about the £7.50 LaSenza bargain bra I posted about last week...

Well, it came today (finally) and I was disappointed. For starters, it didn't fit, the cups cut across my bust giving me '4-boobs'. I imagine it would be uncomfortable to wear as the bottom of the cups are pumped up with some sort of foam... This is probably why the cups didn't fit right, as the foam must have been forcing my boobs up and out of the cups!

I was then annoyed to find out that they provide you with a returns label, but you need to pay for the postage and packaging again to send it back, which I think is a bit cheeky.

Sigh, I guess you get what you pay for... I vow not to get sucked in next time!

Sales and Stuff

Both Marks and Spencer and Debenhams are on sale, with some pretty good bargains going on in the lingerie departments. Be quick though, as we all know how fast sizes run out.

I bought a pretty fushia and lime green set (trust me, it looks better then it sounds) in M&S today after, throwing the good intention of only buying sale items out of the window! Unfortunately, it isn't on the site, but as soon as I get my hands on an image, I'll post it on as it's so fun and pretty. Apparently it was on This Morning today, if you caught that.

Meandering off the lingerie subject, I'm really excited 'cos I finally got my hands on some of the M.A.C. Fafi stuff I've been eyeing up for weeks as well today. I love the lipstick in Flash'n'Dash, a really bright red/orange to glam-up the fast approaching Spring days!

Go Green!

For all of you out there that don't already know, Figleaves has introduced a new section - Greenleaves stocking a range of eco-friendly and ethical brands.

Now, there's no time like the present to re-think our buying habits. It really would make a difference in the world to start buying clothing made from sustainable sources that are ethically and fairly produced and traded, made from organically farmed materials that avoid the use of chemicals and are recyclable to protect the ecosystem.

This all sounds good in theory, but unfortunately we all know how pricey it can be to live a green life, many of us simply feel we cannot afford it. Like most people, I love a good bargain - I'm not perfect, I couldn't resist buying LaSenza's £7.50 bra.

However, it's a shame that we've been conditioned to expect rock bottom prices - you can go to Primark and buy tops for as little as £1.50. We are slowly coming to believe that clothes shouldn't last very long, that they are easily and cheaply replaceable. What kind of quality can you expect from a garment costing as little as £1.50? No wonder we are shocked by the prices of eco-friendly clothing brands. Perhaps we need to re-condition ourselves into paying a little more for something that will hopefully last a little longer, which can in turn help us to buy a little less, evening out the money we spend and perhaps doing a little good in the world...

This 3/4 cup balconette by Chantelle is made from a sustainable bamboo jersey blend.

It looks gorgeously laid back and comes in sizes 32/38 B/F, although the E-cup and above only begins at a 36-back, hopefully there will will be a bigger demand for these kinds of products and we can all enjoy a wider size range.

For now, those of us who cannot enjoy the bra can treat themselves to the matching shorts, which are so cute and comfy looking. I'd wear these with a seamless black satin bra or with a T-shirt to bed.

Bra - £39
Shorty - £24

View Chantelle's Bamboo range here.

However, if you are an eco-friendly buyer with cash to spend and the above look is not glamorous enough for your liking, then check out this printed silk dressing gown and sexy knicks by Eco Boudoir.

Now who says green isn't sexy?

Dressing gown - £323 (S,M,L)
Silk Satin tie brief - £70 (S,M,L)

Bargain!

3-way T-shirt bra from LaSenza... Only £7.50!

This has to be the cheapest bra that goes up to an F-cup that I've ever seen. There aren't any pictures of these bras on a large-cupped model, so I'm not sure whether the thickness of the straps change to offer more support... However, I couldn't resist the bargain and I've ordered one! I'll let you know how it fits!

Available in sizes 30/38 A/F

Bra - £7.50
Short - £5
